Dominions 5 wish12/7/2023 ![]() You're guaranteed attrition on every fight, even if you handily win. If you have sacred PD it becomes a nightmare to raid you. Most units that get hit will die from the age. It will effectively render all your sacreds a danger to thugs/SC/pretenders, rendering them old and/or killing them. Not going in depth, but I'd like to single out the wither bless. I'm curious if the above discussion is reflective of the general consensus. Most non-bless nations have roughly 20% of their armies as sacreds, and thus it's useless vs 80% of the enemies you face. The pop kill nations generally don't benefit from any of the other nature blesses so it's wasted points there, and the nature themed nations generally want high growth (generally every nation wants growth) it's an expensive, low damage over time bless that just isn't good. Poison Weapons: I have never used this, I don't know what nation ever runs nature magic and death scales. The AN is higher than thunder but it can't stun, and the diseases make it an annoying threat to SC. It's limited to basically countering a SC or being very annoying vs mages with a cheap assassin.ĭeath weapons: stupidly expensive, but it is basically a combination of thunder and wither but slightly worse than both. ![]() Withering weapons: it's not really that great of a bless, 4 bless points to make the enemy slowly tick up age all the while they are killing your expensive sacreds. For 4 bless points it's fairly expensive but I don't know if there is any other way to get magical weapons on troops. A lot of sacreds already have magical weapons already. It's useless vs the vast majority of units in game, but essential vs ghosty-boyz. Your weapons are now magic and ignore etherealality (I don't know about invulnerable). ![]() Magic weapons: it's exactly what it says. It also makes it simple to face the threat of Ermor or other undead nations but still has utility vs other nations I especially like it because you can combo with +attack and +1MR so it is essentially a 3x bless combo for very little cost. Solar Weapons: 3Ap damage, 9vs undead/demons. ![]() For its cost you can almost get +6 strength (from other paths) and that will do more.įrost weapons: basically worthless, the damage isn't armour pierce or negate, and it's a highly resisted type anyway (there are more cold nations than hot) The stun effect is great but it's a very expensive bless. Thunder weapons: low, almost garenteed damage.
